Some people think baking is difficult and takes some skills to do it. The truth is like in almost everything there are different levels of sophistication. You can make a complicated cake with layers and advanced frosting, but sometimes the simplicity in cooking and baking gives the best results. There is only one rule. The ingredients, especially when you have a few of them have to be great quality and please don’t try to make it a diet version. Just don’t.
For these biscuits you need:
1 block of butter – in room temperature
1 glass of crystal sugar
2 glasses of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
In a bowl, you put butter, sugar, flour and baking powder and you mix all the ingredients. Add two eggs and knead the dough. If it is too wet and sticks to your hands add some extra flour. The dough has better consistency if you let it rest in the fridge for an hour. You can also leave it there overnight or even freeze for some other time in the future. Warm up the oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Roll out the dough and cut out the biscuits. Bake for 8-10 minutes. The biscuits should have a warm yellow colour, but they shouldn’t get brown, because they will get too crispy. And that’s it. They are amazingly delicious, the house smells like a dream and anyone can make them. Enjoy!
